Hello Fundi Fans! In case you haven't visited us for a while, we've had a little face lift, and we're loving our new look! A lick of paint has brought the lush green KZN coastal forest colours indoors. We've also refreshed our menu, and it's a showcase of some new autumn seasonal items, plus your Fundi favourites.
Check out our new menu here - we've seriously considered that everyone's pockets may be feeling the pinch lately, so we've introduced budget-friendly options that will still put fuel in your tank. (Sorry for the fuel analogy ~ yet another sore point!) Try our different mince on toast combos (we still use top quality beef from our friends at Dargle Valley in the KZN Midlands) and add our hearty homemade baked beans for extra protein (we're talking to you cyclists and trail runners). We've also mixed up our Eggs Benedict in 3 new combos with either bacon, creamed spinach, or if you're feeling flush, with salmon.
In our quest to always support local suppliers and collaborators, we've partnered with one of the best treats in town, Salt Rock Gelato. You can now find their DELICIOUS #gelato inside Food Fundi Café. Flavours include decadent Ferrero Rocher, vegan dark chocolate, Steri Stumpie, and Ultra Mel custard (can you even get more South African than that?) And don't worry, we still have our yummy lollies from local business Delishice, and Cape Town-based POPCO.
Another bit of news (it's quite BIG NEWS actually!) is that we've partnered with an incredible NGO called Vintage with Love, a well-established organisation with a major following in Jo'burg and Cape Town and links to literacy and numeracy charities like Read to Rise and Project Playground.
Food Fundi Café is the very first KZN drop-off point for your gently worn second-hand clothes and accessories. Your garments will be sold on their website, or at one of their fun pop-ups, and 100% of the proceeds go to these MUCH-NEEDED charities. Please support us and them ~ it's imperative that we do something to support our children's education.
